Description
Film: Butch Cassidy (Paul Newman) and The Sundance Kid (Robert Redford) are notorious bank robbers on the run from the law. With Butch’s ideas and Sundance’s skill, the pair manage to outwit their pursuers across the west over desert and rock, through towns and across rivers all the way to Bolivia.
Composer: Kings of Easy listening, Burt Bacharach and Hal David won an Academy Award for their classic Raindrops Keep Fallin’ on My Head which first featured in Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid (1969). As well as achieving a total of 52 Top 40 hits, Bacharach has also written scores for Arthur (1981), What’s New Pussycat? (1965), Alfie (1965) and Casino Royale (1967).
