Dionne Warwick: Reservations For Two 1987

Reservations for Two is a studio album by American singer Dionne Warwick. It was recorded during the spring of 1987 and released on July 30, that year. Her eighth album for Arista Records, it was again executive produced by label head Clive Davis. Warwick worked reteamed with Barry Manilow and duo Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager to work on the album, while Kashif, Jerry Knight, Howard Hewett and Smokey Robinson also contributed to the track listing.

Dionne Warwick‘s aptly-titled LP Reservations for Two is a collection of smooth pop duets, some of which reunite the singer with Burt Bacharach. The first single, “Love Power,” sung with Jeffrey Osborne, is as mild as a warm cup of coffee and made the Top Five on the R&B and Top 20 on the pop charts. The track is on Osborne’s Ultimate Collection and Warwick‘s own Definitive Collection. The title track duet with Kashif was a Top 20 R&B hit in late 1987 can also be found on Kashif’s own Definitive Collection.
